We welcome you to the Technical Support section of Herbert Fletcher University (HFU). At HFU we strive to provide an excellent service. We have trained technical staff to handle situations that may arise during this new online learning experience. If you need technical assistance simply contact HFU Technical Support Office staff at support@hfu.edu who will gladly assist you in the process of solving your technical difficulty.
This is probably your first experience in online learning. With this in mind we have designed video tutorials that are available in the learning platform which can be accessed at any time. However, we emphasize that to begin to study in HFU no complex skills are required in the area of information technology. It only requires basic knowledge as: draft a document in a text editor (e.g., Microsoft Word), create presentations (e.g., PowerPoint), attach files, surf the Internet, manage an email account, among others. You will acquire additional knowledge/skills during the journey in this new learning experience.
Functions of the Office
- Keep the learning platform (Virtual Campus) up-to-date.
- To search for new tools that can be implemented in the learning platform and that are useful to improve the teaching / learning process.
- Create / make available video tutorials that will facilitate to students and / or facilitators the management of the learning platform.
- To resolve the technical situations that arise in the learning platform, as well as in the website.
- Allow / Restrict user access to the learning platform and / or courses.
- Perform backups.
- Keep updated the information posted on the University website.
- Maintenance of all HFU equipments.
