Herbert Fletcher University (HFU) will be responding for requests for reasonable accommodation by the Office of Student Services in the area of academic Guidance which has trained staff, Dr. Alberto Salas Román, Ed. D;LPC; CM;CC; PASSIII; CMP & LSW who serve the needs of students with disabilities. If you require further attention, the Academic Advisor will notify the Student Service Office to convene the Advisory Board and define the policies to be applied to it.
Counselor Advisor on ADA Law
Herbert Fletcher University Counselor Advisor function is to be who responds and represents people with disabilities in the establishment and law enforcement.

General Dispositions:
HFU in compliance with Section 504 for the Rehabilitation Act, the Americans with Disabilities Act, and other anti-discriminatory laws.
- Prohibits discrimination against people with special needs.
- Develops the formation and resources to encourage and increase sensitivity and awareness of the inherent in what are the special needs.
- Being an online institution it does not deny access to the academic programs or services to people with disabilities.
- Is dedicated to provide reasonable accommodations for people with special needs stipulated by online education.
- Respects independence, the rights and dignity of people with special needs, therefore the identification of ourselves and/or the request for reasonable accommodation is completely voluntary and the student’s responsibility.
- In accordance with the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA), the institution will be in charge of guarding confidentiality all data of students with special needs.
